Choreo and video clip prep

Plan a song's dance and music video on the song itself. Moves and shots pinned to seconds of a version, beside its synced lyrics, with the dancers or crew each one is for, a ready task list, and a planned card on the Media tab until the footage lands.

What it is

Prep is where you plan a song's dance and its music video. Each move or shot sits at its second of the song, between the synced lyrics, so dancers and the crew read the same timeline and can play the song from any move. A prep comes with its task list (dancers, rehearsals, shoot day, edit), dated back from the video premiere or the release date.

Using it

  1. Open a track and go to Prep, or use Plan a choreo / Plan a video clip: on the Media tab's "Add music video" menu, on Tasks under "Add milestone", in ⌘K, or by ticking "Making a music video" / "Creating a dance" in a release plan.
  2. Play the song. The time of a new move follows the playhead; type a move and press Add. The clock sets an exact start and end.
  3. Who it's for: pick the dancers or crew a move or shot is for. Nobody picked means everyone. Add people as track collaborators (for example with the role "Dancer"); "Filter by person" shows one dancer their part.
  4. The version picker sets which mix the prep is timed against. Its synced lyrics show between the moves; the pen button hides them.
  5. On the Media tab a planned card shows the prep's next task and date. Add footage uploads or links the video and replaces the card with it.
