Start a session from any chat
Type /new session with a name and a day in any chat. Aden starts the session, invites the person or one of their teams, and posts an invite card everyone in the chat can answer and join from.
What it is
Type /new session in a chat to start a studio session with the people in
it. Everything after the command is the session's name, and a day in it is
when it starts: /new session vocals for Nova on friday 3pm.
How it works
- While you type, a line above the composer shows the session you're about to start. Press Enter to set it up.
- If the person is on teams you've worked with, Aden asks who to invite: just them, or one of those teams.
- With a day and nobody to choose between, it starts straight away. Otherwise the start form opens with what you typed.
- The session's card is posted in the chat. Invitees accept or decline there, everyone sees who's coming, and Join opens the call from a quarter of an hour before it starts. Your team can move it and copy its follow-along link from the card.
- Moving the session from its card posts a note in the chat with the new time.
- In WhatsApp, Instagram and other chats on desktop, Aden puts the session's follow-along link in your message instead. That link shows as a card with the session's name, time and place in Links and, with the Aden extension, on WhatsApp and Instagram web.
