Custom links
Short links on a team or organisation profile, or platform-wide from the admin, that redirect to any URL and count their clicks.
What it is
Custom links are short, memorable web addresses on your public Aden profile that
forward visitors to any URL you choose. They work exactly like the built-in
social shortlinks (e.g. aden.space/@yourname/spotify), but with a slug you
pick yourself, so aden.space/@yourname/tour can point at a ticketing page,
aden.space/@yourname/press at a press kit, and so on.
Teams get links under their profile (aden.space/@<team-slug>/<slug>).
Organisations get them under theirs (aden.space/o/<org-slug>/<slug>). Aden's
own campaign links live at aden.space/l/<slug> and are managed by staff.
Using it
Teams. Open Links in your team workspace and pick the Custom links
tab (/app/teams/<id>/links?tab=custom-links). Type a slug and the
destination URL, then click Add link. The link is live immediately. Share
aden.space/@<your-slug>/<slug> and it redirects to your target.
Organisations. Open Settings → Links on your organisation
(/org/<id>/settings?tab=links) and add links the same way. They resolve at
aden.space/o/<org-slug>/<slug>.
Edit or remove. Change the slug or destination inline. Edits save when you click away. Toggle the switch to disable a link without deleting it (a hidden link returns a not-found page). Use the trash icon to remove it, or the copy icon to grab the full shareable URL.
QR codes. Every link row, your profile URL card and each verified custom
domain has a QR icon. It opens the code with copy, PNG and SVG download, so
you can print it on a sticker, poster or business card. Print the short link,
not the destination: change the destination later and the printed code keeps
working. Query parameters on the short link are forwarded to the destination,
so aden.space/l/ade?src=sticker lands with src=sticker intact.
Clicks. Every follow of a custom link is tracked. Click Analytics above the list to see clicks across all your links, or the chart icon on a row to see one link on its own. Each view shows total clicks, unique visitors, the change against the previous period, a per-day chart, and breakdowns by link, country and referrer over the last 7, 30 or 90 days.
Platform links (staff). Admins open Content → Links (/admin/links) and
add links the same way, on the page's Custom links tab (its Social links
tab edits Aden's own profiles, see organisations.md). They resolve at aden.space/l/<slug> and belong to no
team or organisation, so they are the right shape for campaign and social posts
about Aden itself.
Someone else's name. A slug that is another artist's, label's or reserved
handle is refused: aden.space/@yourlabel/taylor would read as Taylor's own
link. Your own handle is fine, and so is an artist your organisation
represents, so a label can still publish a link for its roster.
Destination screening. A short link on your profile carries your name, so
destinations are screened when you save one. A URL that is not a public
http(s) address, that carries a username and password, that uses a lookalike
(punycode) domain, or that borrows a brand's name on someone else's domain
(metamask-walletconnect.example.xyz) is refused with the reason. Anything the
static rules pass goes through one AI classification of the URL. Staff links at
/admin/links are not screened.
Rules. Slugs use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only, and must be
unique within your profile. Some slugs are reserved because they collide with
built-in pages or social shortlinks (e.g. spotify, tours, events): those
are rejected when you try to save them.
