Agency commission & statements
A booking agency's commission on the shows it books, the agent on each booking, and statements per artist and per agent.
What it is
A booking agency takes a share of the fee on every show it books for an artist, usually 10 to 20 percent. Aden keeps that commission for you: set a rate per artist, and every confirmed show books the commission into the agency's income and the artist's expenses. Each booking has a responsible agent, and the agency's financials hold a statement per artist and per agent for any period.
Using it
Set an artist's rate. In your organisation, open the artist under Teams. The Commission card holds the rate new bookings take. Owners and admins set it; upcoming shows without a rate take it straight away.
Commission on a booking. On a show, the Commission button beside the fee shows the agency, its rate and the agent. Agency members change the rate for that one show or pick another agent. The artist sees it read only.
Agents. Whoever books a show becomes its agent: the member who invited the artist, shared the prospect or added the show. On a prospect, pick the agent in its sheet; it carries onto the booking when you share it. Filter the prospecting board and the events list by agent.
Statements. Open Financials → Statements in your organisation. Pick a period, filter by artist or agent, and group by artist or by agent: you see the shows, gross fees, commission, and what is paid and outstanding. Mark a show's commission paid when it lands, or a whole artist at once. Export the statement as a CSV or a PDF. Artists find their own statement under Financials → Statements once an agency books them.
