Skills

What it is

Skills are reusable pieces of knowledge. Brand voice, checklists, playbooks, policies: written in markdown that your agents pull in when they're relevant. Pin a skill so it always loads, or give it trigger phrases so it only loads when the conversation calls for it.

Skills live at three levels: your team's own skills, organisation-wide skills, and Aden-shared skills. A skill made available to teams or organisations can be copied into your own space and edited independently.

Using it

• Create a skill: click Create skill, give it a name and a short "when to use" description, then write the body in markdown. The editor has Edit, Split and Preview views so you can see the rendered result as you type.

• Pin or trigger: turn on Pinned to always load it, or add comma-separated Triggers (phrases like "write a caption") so it loads only when relevant.

• Apply a template: seed your playbook from a ready-made template.

• Import from GitHub: click Import from GitHub and paste a link to a repo, folder, or a single SKILL.md file. Aden finds every skill, shows you what it found, and lets you pick which ones to import. Works with skills.sh and any repository that follows the SKILL.md folder layout.

• Give a bot a skill: in the chat, edit a bot and pick skills under Follows skills. That bot always follows them. The Bot maker can also write a new skill for you while it sets up a bot.
