Cards at the top of a chat

While you chat, small cards at the top show what the conversation is about (a track, a proposed day, a list of asks) and who works on it but isn't in the chat. A card opens its Aden page on its own in a small window you can keep beside the chat, dock or pop out.

What it is

While you talk with your team, Aden reads the conversation and puts small cards at the top of the chat: the tracks someone names, a day someone proposes, a list of things someone asks for. Click a card and its page opens on its own in a small window beside the chat, so you can act on it without leaving the conversation.

It works in Aden's own chat and, in the desktop app, in your WhatsApp, Instagram and other chats in Links.

How it works

  • A track someone names ("the hook on Midnight Sun") opens that track.
  • A day someone proposes ("saturday 2pm?") opens quick create with the message in it, to make the session or show.
  • A list of asks ("can you bounce stems, fix the vocal and send the split?") opens quick create with a to-do for each.
  • The people on a named track who aren't in the chat (its collaborators on Aden) show as one card. In an Aden chat, add them one by one or all at once. A WhatsApp or Instagram chat can't take them, so there the card starts an Aden chat about the track with them, opened beside the one you're in.
  • The card you opened stays highlighted.
  • On the desktop the page floats over the window. Drag it to dock it beside the page, or out of the window to give it its own.
  • In the browser it opens in a picture-in-picture window that stays on top (Chrome and Edge), or a small window elsewhere.

Turning it off

In the desktop app, open Settings, Chats (or search "cards" with ⌘K) and turn off Cards at the top of chats. Suggestions above the reply box turns off the one-click suggestions the same way. Both follow your account, so they apply in the web chat too.
