Invite from the open project
The desktop app sees which DAW project is open and lets you invite someone to its track from the menu bar popover, the menu bar menu or the home screen. They get the project to download before they have an account, and signing up links them to the track.
What it is
When you have a project open in Ableton, Reaper or another DAW that keeps its file open, Aden desktop knows which one it is. If that project's folder is linked to a track, you can bring someone into it straight from where you are.
Using it
From the menu bar popover. Click the Aden icon. The open project sits at the top with an email field. Type an address and press Enter, or tap one of the people your team has worked with.
From the menu bar menu. Right-click the Aden icon. Under Open projects, each project has Invite collaborator…, which opens a small invite window, plus Open track in Aden and Show in Finder.
From the home screen. The open project shows above your suggestions with an Invite button.
A project not linked yet. Find track in the popover and on the home screen, and Link to a track… in the menu bar menu, open Files on the app's Folders tab with the track picker for the project's folder.
What they get. Someone without an Aden account gets an email with a link. The link opens the track and lets them download the project right away, no account needed. Join Aden signs them up with the invited address, and the track shows up in their account on its own. Someone who already has an account gets a notification and a push.
Taking it back. Every invite you send stays listed with Undo. Undo removes them from the track, and the emailed link and download stop working. For someone new, the link icon copies the invite link so you can send it yourself.
DAW project previews
Reads a synced FL Studio (.flp) or Ableton Live (.als) project file and shows what is inside it, tempo, key, meter, song length, the channel/track list with its devices, every plugin and every referenced sample, without anyone opening the DAW.
Clips & moodboards
Save visual and audio inspiration to a track's moodboard. Clip an image straight from any web page with the Aden browser extension, or add a reference URL or uploaded file from the track's inspiration tab. Everything lands in one inspiration panel per track.
