Royalty integrations

What it is

If your label runs its royalty accounting in software like Curve or Revelator, you can connect it to Aden. Statements sync in (or you import the CSV exports any royalty system can produce), and every earning line is matched automatically to the tracks signed with your label and to the teams on your roster. Artists then see the royalties for each of their tracks right on the track page, no more forwarding spreadsheets.

Using it

Connect your software (label admins):

1. Open your organisation and go to Royalties in the sidebar.
2. Click Connect software and pick your system. Curve and Revelator support live syncing with API credentials; pick Statement import (CSV) for anything else.
3. For API connections, hit Sync now whenever you want to pull new statements. For anything else, click Import file and upload the statement export as CSV or Excel, any size: columns like ISRC, track title, store, territory, units and net royalty are detected automatically.

Mapping any file (label admins): click Import statement to open the mapping wizard. Pick the file, set the header and first-data row numbers, and confirm which source column feeds each field. ISRC, track title, store, territory, units, net amount, and so on. Columns are auto-detected from their headers; you adjust anything that's off, set a date format for period columns, add statement defaults (currency, territory, store), and watch a live preview of the parsed lines update as you go. Tick Save as template and the whole mapping is reusable next month. Pick it from the wizard and it re-aligns to the new file automatically.

Deal models (label admins): open Deal models to build a royalty split once and reuse it. Each model has a base rate plus a tree of rules when territory / sale type / store matches, then pay a percentage of net or gross, refined by nested and branches (e.g. "Worldwide → 50% of net, but Neighbouring Rights → 0%"). A live preview shows what a sample line pays as you edit. Attach a model to an artist team or a specific track; the most specific attachment wins at period close.

Matching: lines are matched to tracks by ISRC first, then UPC, then title. When two tracks share a title, the artist credit picks the right one, and a title with one typo still matches when the artist agrees. Anything left over shows up under Needs matching, grouped by artist with the biggest amounts first. Match a work to a track once and the mapping is remembered for all future statements.

For an artist your organisation has no team for yet, click Link artist: search Aden for their team or invite them by email, and choose what your organisation may access. Once they accept, their lines match on their own. Match again re-runs matching whenever you add tracks or teams.

For artists: open a track, go to Financials, and switch to the Royalties tab to see total net earnings, a per-store breakdown, and the most recent statement lines the label reported for that track.
