Feedback capture
The global "Send feedback" dialog lets anyone drag a region or click an element to attach a real screenshot, review and highlight it (OK / Redo / Cancel) before keeping it; uploads go to a pending/ prefix with a 24h R2 lifecycle and are claimed to a permanent key on submit, so un-submitted shots auto-expire, no cron.
What it is
The Send feedback dialog (open with ⌘/Ctrl+Shift+F, or ⌘/Ctrl+Shift+G to jump straight into capture) lets you point at exactly what you mean instead of describing it in words. You can:
- Drag a region or click an element on the page to attach a real screenshot of it (plus the element's location so we can find it in code).
- Review each capture before it sticks. Right after you grab a shot, a
preview appears where you can draw on it to highlight the problem, then
choose:
- OK: keep the (highlighted) shot.
- Redo: throw it away and grab another.
- Cancel: discard it.
- Paste or upload an image instead, and re-annotate any attached shot later from the dialog.
Pick what you're sending at the top of the dialog:
- Feedback: an idea or complaint about the page you're on. It lands on our page-progress board next to that page, where we grade and act on it.
- Support: something broken or blocking you that needs an answer. It goes to the support inbox and a human replies.
Highlighting the screenshot is the point: a marked-up capture tells us, and the agent that acts on the feedback. Precisely what to change.
