Label pitches
Write and send pitch emails to labels from your own inbox, one share link per label, and follow opens, plays and replies on a Pitches dashboard widget that reads replies into a status for you.
What it is
Pitch a track or album to labels straight from Aden. You pick the labels, Aden writes a draft you can make your own, and the email goes out from your own Gmail or Outlook. Every label gets its own share link, so you can see who opened your email and who listened.
The Pitches widget on your dashboard keeps track of everything you sent. When a label replies, Aden reads the reply and sets the status for you (marked with a sparkle), so you always see where each pitch stands. You can change any status yourself.
Using it
- Open a track or album, go to its release tab and choose Send a pitch (or press Submit in the track sidebar, or search "send a pitch" in ⌘K).
- Add the labels you want to pitch. Pick who gets it at each label from your contacts, or add someone new; they stay linked to that label for next time.
- Pick a template on the right, or How you write to start from your own style. Use Rewrite to make it shorter, warmer or more professional. Fill in the parts in [brackets].
- The link icon on each label sets what that label's link allows: one version or every version, downloads, comments and other people's comments.
- Send them all at once, or switch to One by one to write each email separately.
After your first pitch, Aden offers to add the Pitches widget to your dashboard. On your phone it shows up by itself.
Key finder
The Camelot wheel as a tool. Type a key or a key change in ⌘K and the row answers it; open it to nudge keys with plus and minus, play the key on a piano or guitar, drop or record tracks to find their key, BPM and chords, line them up on a playlist pitched to an instrumental for a mashup, and save one as a track in Aden.
Reviews on any link
Ask anyone, on Aden or not, for a review on a page in another app (a DISCO player, a Samply link, a Session Studio song, a Google Doc); they answer on a public page with like or pass and a note.
