Submissions vs demos
An organisation receives music through two separate pipelines, Submissions (artist teams on Aden pitching a track or album for a deal) and Demos (anyone, through the public portal or a connected inbox), on two boards that never mix.
What it is
Music reaches your organisation two ways, and each has its own board.
Submissions (/org/<orgId>/submissions): an artist team already on Aden
pitches one of its tracks or albums to you for a release or a deal. The track
exists on the platform, so you get the full record: audio, artwork, credits,
assignees, and a status you move from submitted
to reviewing to signed or passed.
Demos (/org/<orgId>/demos): anything sent in from outside: your public
demo portal at /o/<slug>/demos (open to anyone, account optional), your demo
email address <slug>@org.aden.space (on as soon as the portal is on; the
address is shown at the top of the board), and any connected email inbox.
Usually a link plus a short message. Mail to that address that is not a demo
is forwarded to your submissions email, else your organisation email.
Nothing sent through the public portal ever appears under Submissions, and no artist-team pitch ever appears under Demos. Both sit next to each other in the Deals section of the sidebar.
Not to be confused with Promos (/org/<orgId>/campaigns/promos), which is
outbound: promo emails you send to your contacts.
Demo submission form
Labels choose how much their public demo portal asks for, the quick compact form or a full track-details form mirroring the create-track form, and signed-in artists see a demo-readiness checklist showing how complete their profile is (complete profiles have a higher chance of hearing back).
Submission contacts, emails and documents
A label pitch carries the people you are talking to, the Gmail threads about it, and its contracts. Documents come from disk, a cloud or a Gmail attachment. The tracks board filters on where a track was pitched and how it stands.
