Mix vs reference
A free tool at tools.aden.space/reference. Drop a mix and a released song to hear them level-matched at the same spot, and see where the lows, mids and highs differ. Both files stay in the browser.
What it is
Hold your mix up to a released song you want it to sound like. Open
tools.aden.space/reference, or search "reference" in ⌘K. No account needed,
and nothing is uploaded.
Using it
- Drop your mix, then a reference song: on the Add a reference song lane, or anywhere on the panel. Drop both at once and the second is the reference.
- Switch with the play buttons, 1 and 2, or the arrow keys. Both play in step, so a switch keeps the same spot.
- Match is on: the louder song is turned down to the quieter one, so louder never passes for better.
- Tone shows, per band, how much more (+) or less (−) of it your mix has than the reference, in dB, measured while they play. Amber is 3 dB or more.
- Loudness, Auto, Loop and Blind work as in a track's compare.
- Save as track adds your mix to Aden.
MIDI editor and sounds
Draw MIDI, type chords or drop a .mid and hear it on piano, dance piano, deep piano, electric piano, guitar, muted guitar, synth, pad, organ or a sampler made from your own sample folder (a Kontakt library's WAVs, an SFZ, one-shots). One editor everywhere MIDI shows up, comments, take melodies, project lanes, and a free page at tools.aden.space/midi that the MCP opens in the chat.
Drop from your phone to your computer
Hold a photo, video or file in the phone app and slide it off the side of the screen; it comes in from that side on your computer and lands on the drop shelf.
