Vocal recorder
Record vocals over a beat in the browser, no account. Drop an instrumental (or record over a click), sing with the stems' record lane (backing level, monitoring, vocal effects, click), and each take lands as a lane under the beat where it was sung. Download a take as a 24-bit WAV, effects printed in, or save the beat with its takes as stems to Aden.
What it is
A free vocal recorder at tools.aden.space/record (also record.aden.space),
no account needed. Drop a beat, put on headphones and sing over it. Each take
lands where you sang it, and everything stays in your browser until you
download it or save it to Aden.
Using it
- Drop a beat (any audio: an instrumental, a loop, a rough mix) or press Upload a beat. It reads the BPM and key, so the click and the vocal effects follow the beat. No beat at hand? Record without a beat sings over the click alone: the metronome in the record lane sets its tempo.
- Record: the recording lane opens under the beat and the beat rolls in a bar early from the playhead. Pause, carry on, or drag across the lane's top strip to redo just one part. The headphones button lets you hear yourself, the wand adds vocal effects (tuning, tone, reverb, echo), the music note sets how loud the beat plays under you, and the check keeps the take.
- While you sing the play button and Space pause the take, and a press anywhere on the timeline keeps what you sang and carries on from there. The mic button picks your microphone, also mid-take: the take goes on with the new one.
- Listen back before you keep it: once paused, play (or Space) plays what you've sung so far with the beat.
- Takes: each take is a lane under the beat, at the spot you sang it, and they all play together with the beat (Space plays and pauses). After a take the playhead goes back to where it started, so Record again sings another take over the same part. The speaker on a lane mutes it (hover it for its level); × removes it, with Undo.
- Download: the arrow on a take saves it as a 24-bit WAV, with its vocal effects printed in. No compression, ready for any DAW. Drag the arrow onto a DAW track to drop the take there (the Aden desktop app, or Chrome and Edge).
- Save to Aden opens Aden in a new tab and makes a new track there: the beat is the track's audio and each take a stem that starts where you sang it. Without a beat, the take is the track (several takes are added up into one, each kept as a stem). Muted takes stay out. Without an account you sign up first in that tab. If the tab is blocked, allow pop-ups and press Save to Aden again.
- No sound from the mic? The page says what happened: allow the microphone in the address bar, plug one in, close the app that holds it, or open the page in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
Version uploads
How a new version's audio gets from the browser to storage, what keeps an interrupted upload from losing the file, and how versions are deleted one at a time or in bulk.
Voice agents
People you talk to out loud, built on ElevenLabs Conversational AI. Bar staff, a studio assistant, a light tech and a ticket scanner in the world, a guide on the move-in page, Aden in a session's call, and a call with any chat bot. Each agent acts only through the page's own buttons, as client tools.
