Hand control
Use the Aden desktop app with your hand instead of the trackpad. Point with your index finger to move the pointer, pinch to click, drag or scroll, all through your webcam.
What it is
Hand control lets you use the Aden desktop app without touching the trackpad, the way you would on a Vision Pro. Your webcam watches one hand: point to move the pointer, pinch to click. It works on everything in the Aden window, including the web app and pages you open in it.
Turn it on
- Press ⌘⇧H (Ctrl+Shift+H on Windows and Linux).
- Or search Hand control in ⌘K. "webcam", "gesture" or "touchless" find it too.
- Or switch it on in Settings, General.
The first time, your Mac asks whether Aden may use the camera. A small pill at the top of the window shows it is on.
Use it
- Move the pointer: raise your hand and point with your index finger. Small moves cover the whole window.
- Click: pinch your thumb and index finger together, then let go. Pinch twice quickly to double click.
- Drag: pinch, hold, and move your hand. Let go to drop.
- Scroll: pinch your thumb and middle finger, then move your hand up or down. The page follows your hand.
If your hand leaves the picture for a moment, the pointer stays where it was.
Turn it off
Press Esc, Stop in the pill, ⌘⇧H again, or "Stop hand control" in ⌘K. The camera turns off with it, and hiding the window turns it off too.
The picture never leaves your computer: the hand is read on the device.
Drop shelf (drag files onto the notch)
Drag files or apps onto the MacBook notch, the menu bar icon or Finder's "Choose Action…" and Aden suggests what to do with them, or adds the apps to your setup.
Peek at your project
A global shortcut or fn opens the song behind your DAW project over the DAW, full screen. Its pages, its details and the live session's lyrics and files sit as cards around a clear middle, and files drag between them and the DAW. A small panel links an unlinked project to a track.
