Open and edit LRC lyrics files
Open an .lrc file in Aden, fix its words and times against the song, and turn it into a track or add it to one.
An LRC file is a lyrics file with a time in front of every line. Music players use it to show synced lyrics. Aden desktop opens one, plays the song beside it and saves every change back to the same file. Editing works without a connection.
Open a file
- Double-click the LRC file. If another app opens it, right-click it and choose Open With > Aden.
- Or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) in Aden, type "lrc" and choose Open LRC lyrics file.
When an audio file with the same name sits in the same folder (Mine.lrc and Mine.mp3), it opens with the lyrics. Otherwise press Add audio and pick the song.
Fix words and times
- Press play. The line being sung lights up.
- Click into a line to change its words. Enter splits a line, Backspace at its start joins it to the one above.
- Click a time to change it. The up and down arrow keys move it a tenth of a second.
- To time a line by ear, play the song and press the clock beside the line when it starts.
- Press the tag button at the top to change the title, artist, album, who wrote the file or the offset.
Changes save to the file on their own.
Bring it into Aden
- Press Add to Aden at the top.
- Choose New track to create a track in your current team from the song, with these lyrics on its version. Without a song yet, Aden asks you to pick one first.
- Or choose Add lyrics to a track and pick the track. The lyrics go on its final version, or its newest one. Press Undo in the message to put back the lyrics it had.
Aden keeps lyrics to the second. The LRC file on your computer keeps the hundredths.
