Peek at your song from the DAW

See the track behind your open project, with its versions, to-dos and collaborators, floating over your DAW.

While you work in your DAW, press ⌃⌥Space (Control+Option+Space). The song your open project belongs to opens over the DAW, even in full screen. Its pages float as cards around the edges, leaving the middle clear for your work.

What you see

  • The overview with versions and tasks.
  • To-dos down the left.
  • The song's card, with its details and menu, and collaborators down the right.
  • During a session, its lyrics and files along the bottom.

Drag a bounce from the DAW onto the files, or a take from the files into the DAW. The space between the cards is the DAW itself.

Play together

Press Start session on the song's card. A session about the song starts, its call opens with your screen shared, and Share shows the links to send. Whoever joins sees your DAW, points at it with their own cursor and can ask for control. When the session is already going, the button says Join call.

Arrange it

  • Drag a card by its bar and resize it from its edges. It snaps into line.
  • Remove a card with its ×. Bring a page back with + on the song's card.
  • The layout is the same for every song.

Click back into your DAW, press the shortcut again or press Escape to put it away.

A project with no track yet

A small panel asks which track it is. Search your team's tracks, or type a name to make a new one. The folder is linked on the spot.

Other ways to open it

  • The menu bar: Peek at Project.
  • Type "peek" or "to-dos" in search.
  • On a Mac, tap fn on its own. Turn this off under Tap fn in Settings → General. For it to work, set macOS's "Press 🌐 key to" option to Do Nothing.

Change or turn off the shortcut under Project peek in Settings → General.
