Find a song's BPM by tapping

Tap along to a song and hear a click on your beat, so you know straight away whether the tempo is right.

Tap along to any song and the BPM tapper tells you its tempo. A click plays on your beat, so you hear at once if it's right. Free, no account needed.

Tap the tempo

  1. Open the BPM tapper.
  2. Tap the pad on every beat, or press the space bar or any key.
  3. From the second tap, the BPM shows and a click starts on your beat. Four dots count the bar.
  4. Keep tapping to steady it. Each tap pulls the click back onto your hand. A pause of two seconds starts a new count.
  5. Nudge the tempo a BPM at a time with minus and plus, or the arrow keys.

Press Escape to stop the click, and the play button to start it again.

Type a tempo

Already know the tempo? Type it in the field under the pad and press Enter. The click starts at that BPM.

Start a track at this tempo

Press New track at 128 BPM (it shows your tempo). Aden opens on a new track with the tempo filled in. Without an account, you sign up first and land on the same form.
