Collect tracks with the browser extension
Drop tracks into DJ crates while you dig on YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, Bandcamp and Beatport, and save demos and contacts from any page.
The Aden browser extension sits on YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, Bandcamp and Beatport while you browse. One click drops the track you are hearing into a crate, the set draft you are building for a show, without leaving the page.
A crate is a playlist marked as a DJ set draft. Tie it to a show on your calendar and the tracks you collect are already attached to that gig.
Set it up
- Install the extension in Chrome and open its popup. Keep the overlay switched on.
- Open any supported page and sign in from the overlay.
- Pick the team you are collecting for.
Start a crate for a show
- In the overlay's Crate tab, pick an upcoming show under For a show if you have one.
- Open the crate picker and type a name, like "Dour opening set". The picker offers to start a crate with that name.
Collect tracks
- Open a track and check the title and artist the overlay found.
- Set an energy from 1 to 10 and where you are with it: wanted, found, downloaded or prepped. Add a note if you like.
- Press Add to crate.
The overlay stays put, and your energy and status choices carry over to the next track.
Faster ways, without the overlay:
- Press Alt+Shift+A on a track page.
- Right-click the page and choose to add this track to your Aden crate.
- Right-click any link to add a track you have not opened yet.
Both go into the crate you picked last, and a notification tells you where it landed.
Save demos and contacts
The Demo & contacts tab saves a SoundCloud or YouTube find into your team's demo inbox, with a rating and its best moment. Right-click menus save images, audio and video to your team's media or a track's moodboard, and turn an email link into a contact.
