Announce a date to your organisation

Announcements are short messages shown as a banner at the top of the app. Organisation admins can announce to the whole organisation, one of its artist teams, or one person. Add a date, like an award entry deadline or a festival application window, and it lands on everyone's calendar.

Organisation admins only.

1. Open your organisation's Announcements page and create an announcement.
2. Write the message and pick the audience.
3. Point people somewhere: set the button's link to an Aden page or any web address, or add links inside the message.
4. To put a date on calendars, tick Add to calendars. Choose the date, an end date for a window, and a category: award, submission deadline, voting, festival, conference, chart or release.
5. Untick Show as banner if it should only live on calendars.
6. Save.

The date shows as an all day entry on the calendars of everyone in the audience. For an organisation, that includes the members of every team it manages. Teams that sync their Aden calendar to Google, Apple or Outlook see it there too.

Turning the announcement off, or unticking Add to calendars, takes the date off calendars again.
