Keep your team's files on your computer
Pick a team folder, link project folders to tracks and see every team file, whether it is on this computer or not.
The Files screen is everything about one team on this computer. Syncing project files is on the Max plan.
Pick a team folder
- Open Files on the rail.
- Pick a folder. Aden keeps this team's projects there and sends your changes back as you save.
The card at the top shows the folder, its size, how many track folders it holds and when it last synced. Sync now sits there, and its menu holds Live sync, Sync settings, Change folder and Stop syncing this folder.
Link a folder to a track
On the Tracks tab:
- Click "In the cloud only" on a track's card to make a folder for it and pull down its files. Click it again to stop syncing. The files stay.
- Add folder links a folder you already have, then asks which track it belongs to, or makes a new one.
- New track makes the track and its folder at once.
- Drop a DAW project on the app and it asks which track it is.
Whatever you save in a linked folder syncs to its track.
See every file
The Files tab lists everything Aden holds for this team. A monitor icon means the file is on this computer, a cloud means it is not. Download a file, show it in Finder, or remove it from your disk. The copy in Aden stays.
A file that is only in the cloud shows in Finder with a cloud on it. Open it for a preview straight from Aden, or choose Download and open.
Your projects on Home
Home lists your DAW projects and recent files. Click a project to open it in its DAW.
- A green dot means it is open in your DAW right now.
- A cloud badge means it is linked to a track: a check when synced, amber when the last sync failed.
- A project's menu can Start track, Link to a track or Send as a transfer. Before sending, run your DAW's collect all and save, so the audio travels with the project.
