Open Aden like a drive

Browse every team's tracks, versions and documents in Finder or Explorer, and save files straight into Aden.

Aden sits beside your other files like a drive. Each team is a folder: Team Documents, every track with its versions, covers, contracts and project files, and every album in order. Nothing downloads until you open it, so a whole catalogue takes no space.

Find it

Sign in to the desktop app, then:

  • Mac: Aden appears under Locations in Finder's sidebar.
  • Windows: open the Aden Drive folder in your user folder.
  • Linux: open the Aden Drive folder in your home folder. It needs FUSE installed.

The first time, a notification says where it is. Typing "Show Aden in Finder" in ⌘K opens it too.

Open files

Any app opens the files directly: your DAW, Preview, QuickTime. An app that reads part of a file only downloads that part, so a long video starts at once. Files you opened keep working offline. Finder's Remove Download, or Windows' Free up space, gives the space back.

Save into it

Save or drop a file and it goes to your team:

  • Into Team Documents or a track's folder: a new document.
  • Into a track's Versions: a new version.
  • Into a project's folder: a file of that project. Saving a project from your DAW adds its next version.
  • Over an existing document: it replaces it. If a teammate saved first, both are kept.

Covers, contracts and albums only change in Aden. Nothing is renamed, moved or deleted in Aden from the drive. On Linux the drive is read only for now.

Turn it off

Switch off Aden in Finder (or Explorer, or Files) in Settings → Offline files. If it can't run on your computer, that row says why. Signing out removes the drive and the files it kept.

Needs macOS 15 or later, Windows, or Linux with FUSE, with the Aden app running.
