Work offline
Stay signed in without a connection, start tracks that live only on your computer, and put them on Aden later.
The desktop app works on a plane. You stay signed in, your teams and track lists are the ones the app last saw, synced files play, and you can start new tracks.
When Aden can't be reached, an offline button with an amber dot appears on the rail. Click it to check again. It goes away as soon as Aden answers.
Start a track on this computer
- Choose New → New track on this Mac.
- Give it a title, status, BPM, key, tags, notes and a cover.
- Drop files anywhere on its page. Audio becomes a bounce, a DAW project goes under project files, an image becomes the cover, anything else is a document.
These tracks sit first under "On this Mac only" in your projects. The files stay where they are on disk, and none of it counts against your team's storage.
Put it on Aden
- Open the track and choose Put on Aden.
- Pick the team and the album.
- Tick what to send: bounces as versions, the project folder, documents, the cover. Each bounce gets a version name from its file name, which you can change, and a Final switch.
- Confirm. The cloud track opens.
Before anything uploads, Aden shows how much it would send against your team's free storage, and stops if it does not fit. What you leave unticked stays on your computer. Keep the folder linked attaches the folder to the new track without uploading it.
With several local tracks, Put all on Aden sends them together to one team and album.
If the connection drops halfway, try again. Aden adds the rest to the track it already made.
