Walk around inside a Dolby Atmos mix

Hear your Atmos mix on headphones from anywhere in the room, see every object move, and solo a sound.

The Spatial listener puts your Dolby Atmos mix in a 3D room you can walk through, on headphones. Free, no account needed, and the file never leaves your computer.

Open a mix

  1. Put on headphones.
  2. Open the Spatial listener.
  3. Drop the ADM master from the Dolby Atmos Renderer on the page, or press Open a file. A 5.1, 7.1 or 7.1.4 WAV works too. No file? Press Play the demo.

Speakers sit on the walls. Each moving sound is a glowing ball that gets brighter as it plays and leaves a trail where it just was. Point at one to see its name.

Move around

  • Look around: drag.
  • Walk: W A S D or the arrow keys, or click the floor to walk there.
  • Look through your own eyes: press the eye button. Press it again to look from outside.
  • Back to the middle: press the target button.
  • Hear one sound alone: click it. Click it again for the whole mix.
  • Play or pause: press Space, or the play button. Drag the bar to jump.

The keyboard button lists these controls.

This is Aden's own headphone render, not Dolby's. Use it to check where sounds sit and how they move. For the final binaural sound, listen in the Renderer or play the QC MP4 in Safari.

Atmos MP4s

An Atmos MP4 only plays in spatial audio in Safari, so the Spatial listener asks for the ADM WAV instead.
