Upload limits and audio formats
How big an audio file can be on your plan, and how Aden plays lossless and Dolby Atmos files.
File size per plan
Each audio file is capped by your team's plan:
| Plan | Largest file |
|---|---|
| Free | 50 MB |
| Air | 100 MB |
| Pro | 200 MB |
| Ultra and Max | 500 MB |
That covers ordinary WAV masters, which usually run 30 to 200 MB. A file over the limit is turned down before it starts uploading, with the limit and an upgrade option. Compress or convert it, or upgrade.
The cap is the same everywhere you add audio: a new track, a new version, or another format on a version. Your team's total storage is checked too. See Free up storage.
What you hear
Aden plays the file you uploaded. WAV, FLAC and AIFF stay lossless; MP3 and AAC stay compressed. A badge on the version says Lossless, Atmos or Compressed.
Dolby Atmos
Upload the QC MP4 that the Dolby Atmos Renderer exports. On Ultra and Max, these files can be up to 4 GB.
- Safari, iPhone and iPad play it in spatial audio.
- Other browsers play the stereo or binaural file on the same version, with a note to open Safari for the master.
An ADM WAV isn't accepted: export the QC MP4 from the Renderer instead. Aden doesn't turn stereo into Atmos.
