Add a version
Drop a new mix on a track and it saves itself, ready for comments while it uploads.
Upload a version
- Open the track.
- Drop an audio file on the versions page, or use Add version.
There's no Save button. The version card appears at once and you can add lyrics, comments and tasks while it uploads. The card shows the progress, then the waveform and player.
If an upload stops before the file arrives, because the tab closed or the connection dropped, the card says Upload didn't finish. Click Upload again to send the file.
Find the file on your computer
- On a track, click Find on my computer next to Import.
- Pick one folder.
- Aden lists the audio files in it, ticking the ones whose names match the track.
- Confirm. Each ticked file becomes a version.
Nothing uploads until you confirm, and Aden only sees the folder you pick.
Other ways to add one
- Drop anywhere in the app. If the file name matches a track, Aden offers Add version.
- Record straight from your microphone, a browser tab, or both. Tab and screen audio needs Chrome, Edge or the desktop app.
- Import from a cloud drive or your email.
Clean up the name
When a file name holds things that belong in a field, like "Instrumental", a tempo, a key, featured artists or "WIP", a warning icon shows beside the version name. Hover it, tick the fixes you want and click Apply, or Dismiss to hide them.
A released track you haven't uploaded
A track imported from a streaming link plays from that link, with a place underneath to add the master.
