Playlist submissions
Groover-style pitching: artists submit a track at a specific curated playlist (or attach their own playlist link), and accepted demos are placed straight into the target playlist.
What it is
Playlist submissions let artists pitch a track at a specific playlist you curate: the way Groover and similar platforms work. Turn a demo channel into a playlist submission channel, share its link, and collect pitches aimed at that playlist. Accepted submissions can be added straight to the playlist.
There are two complementary pieces:
- Pitch at a curated playlist. Bind a demo channel to one of your playlists. Submitters see which playlist they're pitching for, and you can place accepted tracks into it in one step.
- Ask for the artist's own playlist. Optionally ask submitters to include a link to their own playlist (e.g. their Spotify artist or release playlist) as extra context on the submission.
Using it (teams)
- Open Track requests for your team and create or edit a request.
- Under Pitch at a playlist, choose one of your playlists to turn the request into a playlist submission channel. (Optional.)
- Tick Ask submitters for a link to their own playlist if you want that extra field on the form. (Optional.)
- Share the request link. Submitters see the target playlist as context and, when enabled, a field for their own playlist.
- Review submissions in your demo inbox and use Add to playlist to place an accepted demo into the target playlist.
Using it (organisations / labels)
- In Settings → Website, enable Demo submissions to open your public
portal at
/o/<slug>/demos. - Under Playlist pitch targets, pick playlists from your member teams to offer as pitch targets.
- On the public portal, submitters can pick one of those playlists to pitch at, and optionally add their own playlist link.
- Pitched submissions land in your Demos board and in the owning team's demo inbox, so the team that owns the playlist can place the accepted track.
