Clips & inspiration — moodboard your tracks
Save visual and audio inspiration to a track's moodboard — clip an image straight from any web page with the Aden browser extension, or add a reference URL or uploaded file from the track's inspiration tab. Everything lands in one inspiration panel per track.
What it is
Every track in Aden has an inspiration moodboard — a place to collect the images, references, and files that capture where the track is headed. There are two ways to fill it:
- Clip from the web with the browser extension. When you spot an image on any web page — a reference cover, a concert photo, a colour palette, a vibe — right-click it and send it straight to a track's moodboard without leaving the page you're on.
- Add inspiration from the track itself. Open a track's Inspiration tab to paste a URL or upload a file (an image, a rough demo, a reference) directly.
Both end up in the same inspiration panel on the track, each card linking back to where it came from so you can find the context later.
Using it
Clipping an image from the web (browser extension)
- Install the Aden browser extension.
- On any web page, right-click an image and choose "Add to Aden inspiration" from the context menu.
- You land on the
/clippage with the image already filled in. - Pick the track you want to attach it to from the searchable dropdown.
- Optionally add a short note describing why it's inspiring, then click Save.
The image now appears in that track's inspiration moodboard. The card keeps a link back to the original page.
You can also open
/clip?url=<image-url>directly in your browser — that's exactly the address the extension sends you to, so the flow works even without the extension installed.
Adding inspiration from the track's Inspiration tab
- Open a track and go to the Inspiration tab.
- Either paste a URL (a reference link, a video, an image) or upload a file from your device.
- Add an optional description and save. The item appears alongside your clips in the same moodboard.
Uploaded files count toward your team's storage, so a team that's over its storage limit or below the required plan will be asked to upgrade or free up space before the upload goes through.
Linked tracks — remixes, covers & their originals
Connect a track to the original it remixes, covers, edits or samples (and see the remixes of your own tracks), with an approval handshake between the two teams, split metadata, a "Remix of …" credit under the track title, and per-link document storage for remix/cover contracts.
Albums
Group tracks into a release project that moves from idea to public, with cover art, collaborators, media, and Spotify import.
