Music videos

What it is

Music videos let you keep every video for a track in one place. The official video, a lyric video, a visualizer, a live take, behind-the-scenes, and give timestamped feedback on each one, exactly like leaving comments on an audio version. Add a video as a YouTube/Vimeo link or upload a file.

Using it

1. Open a track and go to the Music videos tab (next to Media, Covers, Banners, Inspiration).
2. Click Add music video. Give it a title (or pick a preset like "Official Video"), then either paste a link or upload a file.
3. Click Feedback on any video to open the player. Scrub the timeline, then Pin to time to attach your comment to the exact moment. Click a comment's timestamp to jump back there. Replies, @mentions, reactions and attachments work just like version comments.
4. Click the link icon on a video to copy a feedback share link: anyone with the link can watch and leave timestamped feedback without an account.

Scheduling the video premiere

At the top of the Music videos tab you can set the video premiere: the exact date and time the music video goes live. It is deliberately separate from the track's release date, so the video can premiere before, with, or after the track itself. The calendar opens on the release month, and picking a day defaults the time to 18:00 until you change it. Changes save immediately; the ✕ next to the field clears the premiere.

Until that moment passes, the track's public video page shows a countdown with the premiere date and time instead of the video, and flips to the video by itself the second the premiere lands. With no premiere set, the video page behaves exactly as before. Visible as soon as a video URL exists.

Publishing to YouTube

If the team has connected a YouTube channel (Team settings → Integrations), any music video you uploaded to Aden can be published straight to that channel: the red YouTube button on the video's card. You set the title, description and visibility; Aden streams the file up and links the resulting video back on the card.

Videos added as a link can't be published. They already live on someone else's platform.

If the track has an upcoming video premiere, the publish dialog offers to hold the video until then: it uploads immediately but stays private, and YouTube itself makes it public at the premiere minute. That way a slow upload can never make the premiere late.

Note: until Aden's Google project passes YouTube's API compliance audit, every video uploaded through the API stays private on YouTube's side no matter which visibility you pick. That is a YouTube restriction, not a bug.

What people are saying

Once a video is on YouTube, Aden shows its views, likes and comments read live from YouTube each time you open the page. Nothing is copied into Aden: delete a comment on YouTube and it is gone here too. You'll find them:

• on the track's Analytics tab, under YouTube audience,
• across every track on Team → Analytics → Audience.

Each comment is labelled positive / neutral / negative so you can see the shape of the reaction at a glance. That label comes from a keyword-and-emoji heuristic, not a language model: sarcasm, slang and other languages get miscounted, so read the comments before drawing conclusions from the bar.

Because it reads live, you see a recent window (the latest 100 comments per video, up to 10 videos on the team tab) rather than the full history, and if YouTube can't be reached, the page says so instead of showing an empty list.

YouTube links and uploaded files get a full feedback timeline. Other embeds (Vimeo, TikTok, …) are shown for viewing; you can still leave general feedback.

When you share a whole track, the share page now also shows Music videos, Media, Covers and Banners tabs alongside Versions and Inspiration.
