Downloads — share files with fans
Publish gated or paid files to fans through a public landing page your team controls. Decide whether the download is free or paid, whether you collect an email, name, or social follows in exchange, and when the link goes live — for a single track or as a standalone team product.
What it is
Downloads let you share files with your fans through a public page your team controls. You decide whether the download is free or paid, whether you want an email address or social follows in exchange, and when the link goes live. Fans visit the page, fill in the form you set up, and receive the file link.
A download can be attached to a single track, or stand alone as a team product that lives on your public profile.
Using it
Setting up a track download (for team members)
- Open a track and go to the Downloads tab.
- Toggle Enable download on.
- Paste the download URL(s), set an optional password, and choose a date range if you want the link to be time-limited.
- If you want fans to follow you on socials before downloading, enable Require social follows and add your profile URLs.
- Save. The public download page for this track is now live.
Creating a standalone team download (for team members)
- In your team sidebar open Downloads and click Create download.
- Give it a title and description, paste the file URL(s), and configure access rules (email required, lifetime fan required, contact group, date window, password).
- For a paid download, toggle Paid and enter a price in USD. Your team must have a Polar integration set up first.
- Publish. Fans find the page under your public profile at
/@<team>/downloads/<id>.
Downloading a file (for fans)
- Visit the public download page (shared link or your artist's profile).
- Fill in the form — name, email, or social follows as required.
- Click Download. The file link appears immediately.
Sharing & upload links
Send a track, album, mix, or playlist to anyone via a token-protected share link; collect files from collaborators via an upload link — no Aden account required on either end.
Storage, uploads & media
How files get into and out of Aden — signed uploads to R2/S3, presigned download URLs, media galleries, upload links for external contributors, and admin video rendering.
