Shop & Shopify integration

What it is

The shop lets you sell merchandise, music, and other products directly from your Aden artist profile. Once connected, a Shop tab appears on your public profile page and on your organisation's shared shop page. Visitors browse your catalog and check out on Shopify or Polar — Aden never handles payments or fulfillment.

Two commerce platforms are supported:

• Shopify — connect any Shopify store using a Storefront API token.
• Polar — connect a Polar organisation using an API token.

Both can be connected at the same time; their catalogs are merged on the public profile.

The shop tab is part of the shop add-on (€5/month), available to teams on a Pro, Ultra, or Max plan. You can connect a store without the add-on, but the public tab and checkout stay hidden until the add-on is active.

Using it

Connect a Shopify store

1. Go to Settings → Shop → Shopify in your team.
2. Enter your shop domain (e.g. my-store.myshopify.com or just my-store).
3. Paste your Storefront API access token — this is the public token from a custom app or the Headless channel in your Shopify admin, not the Admin API key.
4. Click Verify to confirm the credentials, then Connect. The shop name is shown when the connection is successful.

To get a Storefront token: in your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps, create an app, enable the Storefront API scopes for product listings and checkouts, install it, then copy the Storefront API access token from the API credentials page.

Connect a Polar store

1. Go to Settings → Shop → Polar in your team.
2. Paste your Polar organisation API token.
3. Click Verify, then Connect.

Enable the shop on your profile

Once a store is connected, go to Plan → Add-ons and enable the Shop add-on. The Shop tab then appears on your public profile automatically.

View your public shop

Open your profile at /@{yourSlug}/shop. Products from all connected providers are listed with title, image, and price. Each product has a Buy button that starts checkout on the provider's platform.

Organisation shop

If your team belongs to an organisation, an organisation-level shop page at /o/{orgSlug}/shop merges the catalogs from all public teams in the org that have the shop add-on active. Visitors can filter by team.
