Clips & downloads

Two complementary features — clips let team members pin external images to a track's moodboard as inspiration; downloads let artists publish gated or paid files to fans via a public landing page.

What it is

Clips are a quick way to save visual inspiration to a track. When you see an image on the web — a reference mix artwork, a concert photo, a vibe — you can clip it straight into the track's moodboard without leaving your browser.

Downloads let you share files with your fans through a public page your team controls. You decide whether the download is free or paid, whether you want an email address or social follows in exchange, and when the link goes live. Fans visit the page, fill in the form you set up, and receive the file link.

Using it

Clipping an image to a track moodboard

  1. Right-click any image on a web page and choose "Add to Aden inspiration" from the browser extension context menu (the extension must be installed).
  2. You land on /clip with the image URL pre-filled.
  3. Pick the track you want to attach the image to from the searchable dropdown.
  4. Optionally add a short description, then click Save.

The image now appears in the track's inspiration/moodboard panel. The card links back to the original page so you can find context later.

You can also open /clip?url=<image-url> directly — this is the URL the browser extension navigates to.

Setting up a track download (for team members)

  1. Open a track and go to the Downloads tab.
  2. Toggle Enable download on.
  3. Paste the download URL(s), set an optional password, and choose a date range if you want the link to be time-limited.
  4. If you want fans to follow you on socials before downloading, enable Require social follows and add your profile URLs.
  5. Save. The public download page for this track is now live.

Creating a standalone team download (for team members)

  1. In your team sidebar open Downloads and click Create download.
  2. Give it a title and description, paste the file URL(s), and configure access rules (email required, lifetime fan required, contact group, date window, password).
  3. For a paid download, toggle Paid and enter a price in USD. Your team must have a Polar integration set up first.
  4. Publish. Fans find the page under your public profile at /@<team>/downloads/<id>.

Downloading a file (for fans)

  1. Visit the public download page (shared link or your artist's profile).
  2. Fill in the form — name, email, or social follows as required.
  3. Click Download. The file link appears immediately.
