Custom domains & branding

What it is

Custom domains let you point your own web address (e.g. yourband.com) at your Aden artist profile or at a specific release — an album, a track, a tour, or an event. Visitors who open your domain see your Aden content without any Aden branding in the URL.

The same domain can also be used as the from address for emails Aden sends on your behalf, so your audience receives mail from hello@yourband.com instead of a generic Aden address.

If you do not own a domain yet, you can search for and purchase one directly inside Aden. Teams on the Max yearly plan receive one domain purchase at no extra charge.

Custom colour themes let you save personal palettes for the editor so you can apply your visual identity with one click when working on tracks, albums, or other content.

Using it

Connecting a domain you already own

1. Go to Settings → Domains for your team.
2. Click Add domain and type your domain name (e.g. yourband.com).
3. Aden registers the domain with Vercel and shows you the DNS records to add at your registrar (usually an A record and a CNAME).
4. Add those records, then click Verify. Verification can take a few minutes up to 24 hours depending on your DNS provider.
5. Once verified, the domain is live and points at your team profile by default.

To point the domain at a specific release instead of your profile, open the domain's settings and choose the target: album, track, tour, or event.

Buying a new domain

1. Go to Settings → Domains and open the Search tab.
2. Type the name you want — Aden suggests variations and shows pricing.
3. Select a domain, enter your contact details, and confirm the purchase. Max plan holders with yearly billing see a free-domain offer at checkout.
4. The domain is automatically added to your team and enters the verification flow above.

Enabling email sending from your domain

1. On any verified domain, click Enable email.
2. Aden shows additional DNS records to add (SES verification records).
3. After DNS propagates, click Verify email — the domain's email status updates to verified and emails sent by Aden on your behalf will use it.
4. Use Send test email to confirm delivery before going live.

Creating a custom colour theme

1. Go to Account → Themes.
2. Click New theme, choose your colours, give the theme a name, and save. You can store up to ten themes per account.
3. The theme is available in the editor colour picker wherever theming is supported.
