Preferences & personalization

Per-user settings that control how Aden looks and behaves — theme, app options, keyboard shortcuts, sidebar layout, and saved filter views.

What it is

Aden remembers how you like to work. Your theme, keyboard shortcuts, sidebar layout, and saved filter presets all live in your account and follow you across sessions. Changes take effect immediately — no page reload needed.

Using it

Change the theme. Go to Account → Themes. Pick light, dark, or system (matches your OS setting). Your choice is saved instantly.

Customize keyboard shortcuts. Go to Account → Shortcuts. Every remappable action is listed with its current binding. Click a binding, press your preferred key combination, and save. To reset a shortcut to its default, delete the custom binding.

Adjust the sidebar layout. Go to Account → Sidebar. You can:

  • Switch the nav style between small (icon-only row), wrap (icons + labels, wraps), and vertical (stacked list).
  • Set spacing between items and sections: compact, default, relaxed, or airy.
  • Show or hide cover images for tracks, albums, and playlists in the sidebar.
  • Reorder or hide the three nav groups (main, music, personal).
  • Sort teams alphabetically or drag them into a custom order.
  • Pin favourite nav items to the sidebar rail for quick access.
  • Hide features your current plan doesn't unlock.

Save a filter view. On any list page (tracks, albums, etc.), apply filters and sort options, then save the combination as a named view. Give it a name, icon, and colour. Mark one view as the default so it loads automatically when you open that page. Team admins can save views at team scope — those become the default starting point for everyone on the team.
