Custom profile feed
A curatable, mixed-content feed for public team, organisation and user profiles. Pin tracks, albums, events and tours into one stream in your own order.
What it is
Your public profile no longer forces your music into fixed, separate tabs. The custom feed is a single stream on your public page that can mix everything you put out, tracks, albums, events, tours, playlists and mixes, in one view.
By default the feed shows your latest public content, newest first, and keeps updating itself as you release more. But you can also make it your own: pin the things you want featured, drag them into the order you want, and hide anything you don't want on your page. Anything you don't touch keeps flowing in automatically underneath your pinned items.
It works for three kinds of profile:
- Team / artist profiles: the feed is the landing view of your public page.
- Organisation / label profiles: a curated feed of your releases.
- User profiles: a feed of all the music you're credited on, across every team you work with.
Using it
Edit it right on your page (inline). You don't have to go into settings to
curate. When you're signed in and viewing your own public profile, an Edit
feed button floats in the bottom-right corner, just like editing your public
website. Tap it and every item in your feed gains inline controls: pin an item,
reorder your pinned items, hide anything, and pin more from the "Showing
automatically" list below. Hit Preview in the edit bar to see the page
exactly as a visitor will, then Done when you're finished. Visitors never
see any of this. You can also deep-link straight into editing with ?feed=edit,
or preview as a visitor with ?feed=view. The old All settings panel is
still one tap away from the edit bar for everything else.
Team feed: search "feed" in ⌘K and pick Music feed for the team you
want, or go to your team's Settings → Website. The "Custom feed"
panel lists your feed. Use Add to feed to pin any release, album, event,
tour, playlist or mix; the up/down arrows reorder your pinned items; the ✕
removes a pin (it drops back into the automatic list); the eye icon hides an
item from the feed entirely. Your public page at aden.space/@yourhandle shows
the result as its main "Feed" view. The old per-type tabs (Tracks, Albums,
Events…) are still there too.
Organisation feed: go to Organisation → Settings → Website and curate
the same way. Your pinned feed shows at the top of your public /o/<slug> page.
Your personal feed: go to Account → Public profile. Pin and order the tracks and albums you're credited on to control how your body of work appears on your public profile.
You never have to curate: leave it alone and it just shows your newest content automatically.
Profile homepage (team): in Settings → Website, the "Profile homepage"
picker controls which section visitors land on at aden.space/@yourhandle: the
custom feed (default), or any tab. Tracks, albums, mixes, playlists, events,
tours or posts. Whatever you pick, every other section stays one tap away from
the tabs, and each keeps its own URL (e.g. aden.space/@yourhandle/tracks).
Profile homepage (organisation): orgs get the same picker in Settings →
Website, choosing which section leads their single-page /o/<slug> profile:
the custom feed (default), artists, releases, tracks or venues. Every section
still renders: the choice only moves the chosen one to the top.
