Brand academies

Brands join as organisations (a 'brand' entity type), front themselves with featured ambassador artists, and run branded artist-development programs, which are writers camps with kind='program', reusing the whole camp machinery. E.g. a "JBL Music Academy with Martin Garrix".

What it is

Brands: think a speaker maker running a music academy fronted by a famous DJ: can operate on Aden as organisations, just like labels, agencies and coaches. A brand links the artist teams it works with, follows their releases and progress with a promo-oriented level of access (never their finances or legal data), and runs its initiatives as programs: named, dated artist-development efforts like an academy, a bootcamp, or an ambassador campaign.

A program works exactly like a writers camp, because under the hood it is one. You get the full camp toolkit: a people and teams roster, personal invites, a public signup page with custom questions and an optional join price, studio sessions with AI-assisted lineups, and visibility on calendars, ICS feeds and mobile. The only difference is the label and where it's listed.

The brand's featured artists, the ambassadors fronting its academy, are marked on the organisation's linked teams themselves, so they apply across everything the org does.

Using it

  • Join as a brand: create or claim an organisation and pick the Brand entity type in Settings → Entity types. Linked artists share a promo-oriented slice of their workspace by default; every grant stays editable per link and per member.
  • Feature your ambassador artists: on the Teams board, hover an actively linked team and click the star. Featured teams get a "Featured artist" badge; you can feature as many as you like.
  • Create a program: open Camps in the sidebar and hit "New camp" (a program is just a camp. Same list, same tools). Name it, set the window and sessions, then manage it like any camp: invite the roster, open the public signup link for applications, and plan sessions.
  • Promise and deliver benefits: under the program's Settings → Benefits, list what participants get (the JBL goodie bag, hardware, licenses). The perks show on the public signup page as "What you get", and on the roster you tick off per participant what has been handed out.
  • Go fully white-label (paid add-on): with white-label enabled on the organisation, the program's public signup page and applicant emails carry only the brand's own identity, no Aden branding. The way a real academy's "complete your application" mails look. Not self-serve: Aden staff enable it as part of the organisation's deal.
