Apple Branded Mail
Get a team's logo shown next to its emails in Apple Mail. A live DMARC check on the sending domain plus the hand-off to Apple Business Connect.
What it is
Apple Mail can show a brand's logo as the avatar next to its emails, the way a contact photo appears next to a person. Apple calls it Branded Mail, and it covers Mail on iPhone, iPad and Mac. The majority of where fans open email.
It isn't something Aden can switch on for you: Apple approves each brand itself, in Apple Business Connect. What Aden does is check that your sending domain meets Apple's two technical requirements before you apply, and give you the exact DNS record to paste if it doesn't.
Using it
Go to your team's Settings → Email. Once your sending domain is verified, the Apple Branded Mail card shows a preview of how your logo will look in an Apple inbox, plus where you stand on each requirement:
- DKIM signing: comes from the domain setup on the same page. Apple does not accept mail authenticated by SPF alone, so this has to be green first.
- DMARC set to quarantine or reject: Aden reads your domain's
_dmarcrecord live. If it's missing, or still atp=none, the card shows the exact TXT record to add at your DNS provider. Add it, then press Check again (DNS changes can take a few hours to show up). - Register with Apple: when the first two are green, open Apple Business Connect, add your brand, upload a square logo of at least 1024×1024 px, and add the same domain. Apple's own DNS check expires after 14 days, and brand review takes up to 7 business days.
Once Apple approves you, the logo appears on its own. Nothing to change in Aden.
Your logo only shows on mail actually sent from your domain. If you send a campaign from an address on a domain that isn't verified here, Aden sends it from the shared Aden address instead (with your address as Reply-To), and Apple shows Aden's brand rather than yours.
