Posts
Create and schedule organic, sponsored, and inspiration posts for a team or org, check each account's version against its platform, fan them out to connected social accounts (Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord), then update or take them down once live.
What it is
Posts are the way artists and labels publish content. Articles, announcements, and social updates, from inside Aden. A post starts as a draft and can be published to your public profile, sent to social media accounts you've connected, or both.
There are three kinds of posts:
- Organic: content you create and own entirely. Most posts are organic.
- Sponsored: a post paid for by a label or brand (organisation). The sponsor must approve the post before it can go live.
- Inspiration: internal reference content (mood boards, references) that is never published publicly.
A post can be linked to a track, album, tour, event, mix, or milestone so your audience always knows what it's promoting.
Using it
Write a post. From your team's Posts page, click New post. Give it a title and write your content. You can add a cover image, a YouTube embed link, and an optional promotional link.
Act on a post from the queue. Right-click a post in the queue, or use the … at the end of its row: Open, Open in new tab, Copy link and Delete (with Undo).
Connect social accounts. Go to Settings → Integrations and connect your Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Facebook, Pinterest or Reddit account. Each of these uses its own sign-in: you're redirected to the platform and back. Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram channels and Discord need no sign-in page: paste what the form asks for (an app password, an access token, a bot token and channel, or a webhook URL) and the form says where to find it.
Pick where it publishes. In the post editor, the Publish to row under the preview shows the accounts this post goes to. Change opens a dialog to tick connected accounts, connect a new one, or mark platforms you post to by hand. You can pick multiple accounts on the same platform (for example, two Instagram accounts).
Each account checks the post before it goes out. Every account under Publish checks its version of the post while you type: a caption over X's 280 characters (counted the way X counts, so a link is 23), a TikTok post without media, a Pinterest account without a board. The problem shows under that account with what to change, and Publish and Schedule stay off until it is fixed, so nothing is cut short or rejected at 3am. Media a platform leaves off (a video on Bluesky) is a note, not a stop.
Give one account its own caption. The "…" on an account's row opens Write a caption for X: a shorter version for X, a longer one for LinkedIn. The counter counts like that platform. Use the post's caption drops it again.
If a publish isn't confirmed. When a platform takes the request but the connection drops before it answers, the post may be live. Aden never sends it again blind: the account shows Check, with It's on X (counts it as published) and Send again. Bluesky and Mastodon are the exception: a retry lands on the same post, so they simply retry.
Change or remove a live post. Edit the caption of a post that is out, and Update appears for the accounts whose platform lets apps change a post (Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord). Remove from X in an account's menu takes the post down there (X, Bluesky, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord), with a few seconds to undo. Platforms that don't allow it keep the item, disabled, with the reason.
Test the caption first. Under the preview, Caption test scores the caption out of 100 for one of the post's platforms and lists what to change: lead with a stronger line, name the song, ask for one thing, drop the hashtag wall. Each platform has its own checklist, so the same caption can score differently for TikTok and for X. Edit, then test again.
Remix it against the findings. Remix rewrites the caption using the same list the test just produced, in your own voice and only with facts the post already carries: it will not invent a release date or a studio story. The rewrite is shown, not applied. Take it with Use this caption or discard it.
Get a few takes on an idea. The sparkle Remix above the caption, and the sparkle on any unposted row in the queue, turns the idea or caption into three takes, each opening on a different hook and scored for the platform, best first. Use puts that take in the caption. More gives three new ones.
Publish now or schedule it. Hit Publish now to fan out immediately, or pick a date and time to schedule. Scheduled posts are queued in a durable workflow and publish automatically. You can cancel or reschedule before the time arrives.
Manage sponsored posts. If a post is sponsored, it stays as a draft until you send it to the sponsor for approval. Once they approve, you can publish it. Sponsors see pending posts in their org's Posts section.
See what's waiting on a shoot. A post planned in a visual format (Reel, Story, Carousel, Photo, Video, Short-form, Live, Featured artist) with no image, video, cover or YouTube link attached is marked Needs asset. It shows as a camera flag on the card, turns amber in the calendar, and has its own filter, so you can pull up everything that needs recording and shoot it in one batch instead of one clip at a time. Written formats (Article, Thread) are never flagged, and a post that already went out never is either.
Make a visual. The Visual tile beside Media turns what the post links into a 10-second vertical video: a track or release becomes a snippet of the song, a tour becomes its dates (Dates or Flyer), an event a flyer for that night. Tours and events play one of your songs underneath, and you can switch it; without any song the video is silent. Pick a look, then Add to post: the video renders on your device and lands in the post's media. Link something first; until then the tile says what's missing. Pro plan and up. ⌘K "Make a visual for this post" opens it.
Read the dates on a card. A post card shows the window it runs for:
one date when it is a single day, Jun 1 - Jun 8, 2026 when it has a real end.
A post created without an end gets a one-year window, which reads as
open-ended, so those cards show the start date alone.
View published posts. Your published posts appear on your public profile page
at /profile/[team]/posts, each with its own URL at /profile/[team]/posts/[slug].
Schedule from MCP. On Lite or higher, connect the Aden product MCP and call
post with create_scheduled (title, copy, future datetime, channels) or
schedule for an existing post. It queues the same social pipeline as the
editor. It does not publish immediately.
Stuck on what to post? The light bulb in the composer opens a post recipe: one ask (the result you want: reach, shares, comments, saves, follows or pre-saves), one hook (matched to the song's mood) and one shot you can film in the next hour. Shuffle, reroll a single part or search each list, then Use puts the hook in the title and the ask in the caption. ⌘K "Get a post idea" opens it directly.
