Aden

Build a mix from its tracklist

Blend the songs in a mix's tracklist into one recording, tempos matched, ready to share.

Aden plays every song into the next the way a DJ would, and saves the result as the mix's recording. The mixing happens in your browser, so it starts at once and nothing waits on a server.

Build it

  1. Open the mix and go to Tracklist.
  2. Add at least two of your tracks with Add tracks.
  3. Press Build mix beside it, or search Build mix in ⌘K.
  4. Check the running order. A small warning beside a song means its key or tempo clashes with the one before it.
  5. Press Smart order to put the songs in the order that blends best.
  6. Press Build mix. Keep the page open until it finishes.

The new recording replaces the old one, and every song in the tracklist gets its cue where it takes over.

Change how it blends

Press the sliders icon beside the running time:

  • Blend: how long each song overlaps the next, in bars.
  • Each song: play songs in full, or cut them to 3 minutes or 90 seconds for a radio-length mix.
  • Match tempo: speeds each song up or down a little to meet the set's tempo, like a turntable's pitch fader. Songs too far off play at their own speed.

Good to know

  • Songs play their final version, or the newest one with audio.
  • Outside links and tracks without audio are left out. The dialog says how many.
  • Building uses the same plan as uploading a recording.
