Add a background, stickers or an old screen

The video editor works the same in Export video in Aden and in the free Snippet video maker. Your photos and videos stay on your device.

Put a photo or video behind the look

1. Drag a photo or video onto the preview, or click + and choose Background.
2. It fills the frame behind the disc, the title and the waveform.
3. Drag it to move it. Drag its corner handle to make it bigger or smaller.

A short video plays again and again under the song. Click the background, then the loop button in its bar: on, its end fades into its start so the loop never jumps; off, it cuts straight back to the start.

Change how it looks

1. Click the background.
2. Click the sun button in its bar.
3. Set its opacity, brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, warmth and blur. A lower opacity lets the look's own paper or colour show through.

Reset puts it back as it came. Fill the frame again undoes a move or resize.

Add stickers, photos and videos on top

1. Click +.
2. Pick a sticker, or choose On top to add your own photo or video. A PNG with a see-through background works as a sticker of your own.
3. Drag it where you want it and resize it from its corner.

Stickers move on their own and swell with the beat. A video holds up to 12 things on top.

To remove something, click it and press the trash button, or press Delete. Undo in the message brings it back.

Pick, hide and reorder layers

Beside the preview, a column of small squares shows every layer, top first: stickers, photos and videos on top, the disc, title, waveform and aden.space, anything under them, then the background. It opens on its own once you add a background or a sticker; the layers button beside + shows or hides it.

• Point at a square to see its layer outlined on the preview, and the other way round.
• Click a square to pick its layer, even one hidden under the others. A faded square is a hidden part: click it to bring it back.
• On a picked sticker, photo or video, the arrows in its bar move it up or down. Keep going down and it slips under the disc, the title and the waveform; up brings it back on top.
• The trash in the bar removes it.

Show it on an old screen

1. Click the sliders button.
2. Under the grain, pick 80s, 90s, 2000s or Tube.

The whole frame bends, glows and gets scanlines like an old monitor. The 80s screen is green. Off shows it flat again.
