Import a folder from a cloud drive
Point Aden at a Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or Box folder and get releases, tracks and versions.
Aden reads the folders you already keep:
- A folder holding several tracks becomes a release, named after the folder.
- Numbered file names, like "01 Midnight.wav", set the track order.
- Files that differ only by a suffix, like "Midnight (Extended Mix).wav", become versions of one track.
- A cover image in the folder becomes the artwork.
Files go straight from the drive into Aden, so a folder of large WAV masters costs your browser nothing.
Import a folder
- Open your team's Import page and go to the Files tab.
- Pick a drive from the cloud icons, or the + to connect one. Aden only asks for read access; it never writes to your drive.
- Choose Browse, then tick files or whole folders. Ticking a folder takes every audio file under it, however deep. Search finds a folder without opening it.
- Review what Aden proposes. Edit titles, artists, genres, tags, status and visibility in the table. File names are read for you, so "Mave X Daevo A Place We Both Know RADIO MIX" becomes the title, the artists and a version tag.
- Choose Import. Progress shows in the upload panel, and you can keep working.
Imported tracks arrive as private ideas, so nothing goes public by accident.
Run it again
Scanning the same folder later is safe. Files you already brought over are marked In Aden and left unticked, even after a rename or a move. Add a new master, scan again, and only the new file is offered.
Disconnect
Disconnect a drive from its icon. Tracks you imported keep working, since their files now live in Aden.
