Import an organisation's catalogue
Bring a label's or publisher's whole roster in from a Spotify playlist or a spreadsheet, a team per artist.
Each artist becomes a team linked to your organisation, with their tracks, releases and mixes inside. You see a dry run before anything is created.
Organisation owners and admins only.
From a Spotify playlist
Most labels keep one public playlist with everything they've released. It carries the ISRC, album and release date of every track.
- In Spotify, copy the playlist link. It must be public.
- Open your organisation's Import catalogue page.
- Paste the link and press Read playlist. Up to 2000 tracks are read.
Spotify has no email addresses, so these artists can't be invited until you add one.
From a spreadsheet
- Drop a CSV with one row per track: artist, title, ISRC, album, release date, label. Distributor and PRO exports work as they are, or download the template.
- Check the column matches. A sparkle marks a guess you can change. For a single artist with no artist column, type the name once.
Review before importing
The review shows new teams, matched teams, tracks, releases and playlists, with a row per artist. For each artist you can untick them, or choose an existing team when the name doesn't quite match.
Three switches apply to the run:
- Create a team for new artists
- Skip what is already in Aden: leave it on if you might run the file again.
- Invite the artists by email
Click Import. The summary lists what was created and what failed, and why. Fix the rows and import again; anything already in Aden is skipped.
What lands where
- An artist becomes a team named after them, on your Teams page. You aren't added as a member.
- A track with a release date lands as released, otherwise as an idea. No fan emails go out.
- An album column groups tracks into a release; a playlist column builds a playlist or mix.
Your progress is saved in the browser, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off.
