Steer a release plan after release
Each week after release, see how the song is doing and change the plan to follow it.
Once your song is out, the plan keeps up with it. Every week for the first eight weeks, an active plan opens with a check-in: the song's streams, the country listening most and its best chart spot, with a few changes to the plan those numbers point to.
Check in each week
- Open the track's release plan. Set it to Active if it isn't yet.
- The Week 1 check-in sits at the top. Each change says what it does and the number behind it.
- Untick the changes you don't want.
- Press Apply. The plan's milestones change right away. Undo in the message puts everything back.
Not this week? Press Not now and the next check-in comes a week later. You can also open the check-in from ⌘K.
A check-in can move a milestone to a new date, rename it (for example, aim a paid push at another country), add a new milestone with its first task, or drop one.
The numbers come from the streaming services and need the track's ISRC. Without them, the check-in points you to Metadata.
Compare with the original
After your first applied change, the plan's header shows Original and Steered.
- Steered is the plan you work in. Each changed milestone says what it was and why it changed. Dropped milestones are listed at the end.
- Original shows the plan as it was before the first check-in, read only.
