Writers camp questions

Short answers to what organisers and writers ask most about camps.

Do writers need an Aden account?

Not to accept an invite or to apply. They need one to see their room and week, and to claim a spot added by name. Any email works, and it's free.

Can I add people before I invite them?

Yes. Add them by name, seat them, and invite them when the lineup is ready. A draft camp emails nobody until you send the first invite.

Does Fill the week cost extra?

No. Fill the week, the rules in your own words and Ask AI on Sessions are included.

Can I undo a fill or an AI change?

Yes. The message after a fill has Undo, and History keeps every earlier lineup to preview and restore.

Why doesn't a writer see a day I planned?

It's probably a prep day. Prep days only show in the organisers' plan: writers, partners and the public page never see them.

Can writers see each other's emails?

No. Writers see names, roles and genres, never emails or invite status.

Can I copy this camp for next year?

Yes. Choose Copy a camp on New camp and switch on what comes along. See Create a camp.

What happens to a dropped track?

It's archived and leaves every board. Its writers find it under Second life, with your note on what they may do with it.

Can I run a camp from ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes. Connect Aden to your assistant and it can create a camp, plan the week, seat people and decide on tracks. Anything that emails people shows you who gets what first. See AI assistants.

What's a program?

A camp a brand runs, like an academy. It works the same way. See Run a brand academy.

What happens when I delete a camp?

Its people, applications and draft invoices go with it. Sessions and issued invoices stay.

Can I make the camp invite only?

Yes. Set Visibility to Private under Settings → Applications. The public page closes and people join by personal invite only.
