Your musicDAW projects

See what's in a project

Check a project's tempo, key, tracks, plugins and samples before you download it or open your DAW.

Find your projects

Open a track, then Files and Project files. Each project is a card whose cover is its arrangement drawn small. Tempo and key show under the name. Search projects by name above them; Synced says when someone last pushed, and who pushed and pulled what.

Get a project in

  • The desktop app syncs every save on its own.
  • Or click Upload beside the search box. Aden reads the project once the upload finishes.

Open the details

Open a project's … menu and choose Details:

  • Tempo, key and meter, and the length in minutes and bars.
  • Tracks or channels, with colour, mute and the devices on each.
  • Plugins, third party apart from stock, with a count each. Hover one for its maker and format. Handy for "can I even open this?"
  • Samples the project uses. Press a cover to hear a synced one. Show all lists every sample, channel and plugin.
  • Notes, clips, patterns and markers.

One search box narrows tracks, plugins and samples at once. The … menu also holds Files, with who pulled each one.

Keep it current

After pushing a new version, choose Read again in Details. Project files over 16 MB wait for Read; files over 64 MB are skipped, since that usually means audio got embedded.

Rename a project

Use the card's … menu, click the name on the card, or use ⌘K. The new name shows everywhere in Aden; the synced folder keeps its own name.

Limits

  • Pro Tools and Cubase files can't be read. Export a DAWproject from Cubase, or link a version to play the render.
  • Logic and GarageBand show tempo, key, meter and files, not tracks.
  • FL Studio doesn't store a key, so the key stays empty.
