Message your team

Start threads, send files and photos, mention people and tracks, and keep your chat list tidy.

Open chat from the chat icon in the sidebar. Your threads are on the left, the conversation on the right.

Start a group chat

  1. Choose New group chat, give it a name and add people.
  2. Search your team, or anyone under Everyone on Aden. People you haven't worked with are marked Sent as a request.

Send messages

  • Type and press Enter. Attach files with the paperclip or drag them in.
  • Paste or drop up to five photos, or use the photo button beside the mic.
  • Hover a message to reply to it.
  • Type @ to mention a person from any team you can reach, and # to drop in a track, album, playlist, tour, event, milestone or contact as a card.
  • Links to SoundCloud, Dropbox, Drive or an audio file play right in the chat. Give it a thumb or stars and it joins your team's demos.

Let the chat help

When someone asks for something ("send the new version of Summer Nights", "where do I upload the stems?"), chips above the composer offer the step: the track, a playlist link or an upload link. Nothing sends until you do. Hover a message and press the sparkle for the same help on that message.

With no chat open, the chat page lists what's waiting on you: Needs you, what the AI or a bot is still working on, and what's done.

Keep it tidy

  • Hover a thread and press the pin to keep it on top.
  • Mute a thread from its menu to stop notifications and unread dots. Unmute from the same menu.
  • Hover anyone's face for their card: their profile, their local time and a button to message them.
  • The faces in a chat's header show who is there now, who is typing and who is away.
  • Pick Full width in the chat's menu to spread messages across the screen.

On the phone, long press a chat to pin, mute, rename, mark as read or leave it.

Start from your dashboard

Your dashboard and each team dashboard have a chat box at the top. Pick Just me for a private chat with the AI, or a team for a chat everyone on it can see.
