Browse and play albums
Switch album views, filter your albums and play a whole record from any track.
Play an album
- From the list: every album card and row has a play button next to the title. It plays the album from track 1, and next and previous in the player walk the record.
- From the album: hover the cover in the right sidebar and press play, or press play on a track's artwork to start from that track.
Each track plays its final version, or its first version when none is final. Tracks with no audio are skipped.
Hear the whole record
The Record view lays every track's waveform end to end above the running order, each as wide as it is long. Click anywhere to play from that spot. Crossfade sets how many seconds tracks overlap (off, 3, 5, 10 or your own), and the record draws the overlap.
On the phone app the album screen shows the same record under Play and Shuffle. Tap anywhere to play from there.
Change how tracks show
An album's Display menu switches between:
- Timeline: one card per track with its waveform, status and actions. Order switches between Album order and By latest.
- Record: the end to end waveform described above.
- List: rows you can open to see that track's versions.
- Board: tracks in columns by status. Drag a card to change its status.
- Recent: most recently updated first.
The last view you pick becomes your default for every album.
Browse your albums
The Albums page has search on the left, then Filter and Display. Pick Board, List, Recent or Table. On the board, Columns groups cards by status, genre, tags, artist, label or visibility.
- Filter by year, month, genre, tag, artist, label, team, language, visibility, status and more. Save combinations as presets.
- Display chooses what each card shows: cover, audio player, track list, collaborators, genre, UPC, dates and others. Show empty fields turns empty ones into a quick way to fill them in.
Act on albums
- Right click a card, or press its "…", for the album menu.
- Hold ⌘ (Ctrl on Windows) for a moment and cards show checkboxes. Pick several, then change their status or visibility from the bar at the bottom. Escape clears the selection.
