Send follow-ups
Send a second email a few days later to everyone who hasn't replied, and stop the moment they do.
Most answers come after a nudge. A follow-up goes out a few days after your campaign, from the same address, only to the people who haven't written back.
Add a follow-up
- Open a campaign from Campaigns. It can be a draft, scheduled or already sent.
- Click Add follow-up.
- Pick when it goes, like 3 days later.
- Write the follow-up. Keep it short: a line or two that brings your first email back up.
- Click Save follow-up.
To add another step, open the campaign again and choose Follow-ups, then Add follow-up. Each step waits for the one before it.
Who gets it
Everyone who got the email before it, except people who:
- replied, with a yes or a no
- asked to be taken off your list
- bounced or unsubscribed
Someone who answers while a follow-up is going out is skipped too. Out of office replies don't count as answers, so those people still get it.
Change or remove one
Open Follow-ups on the campaign and pick the step. Edit changes the text or the wait until it goes out. Delete it from the ⋯ menu to stop it.
