Log income and expenses
Record money in and out on a track, an album or your team, and split it between collaborators.
Keep a running record of what each release earns and costs, so you always know where you stand.
Add an entry
- Open a track, an album or your team, and go to Financials.
- Open Income & expenses.
- Add an income or expense entry: pick a category (streaming revenue, sync licence, studio costs and so on), enter the amount and currency, and add a date and a note if you like.
- On a track whose collaborators have split percentages, use the default splits to share the amount between them automatically.
- Save.
Use the team's Financials for money that isn't tied to one release, such as a retainer or a studio subscription.
Attach a document
After saving an entry, attach a PDF or an image to it: an invoice scan, a bank statement, a receipt. Only your team members can open it.
Plan what repeats
For money that comes back on a schedule, such as monthly studio rent or a quarterly advance:
- Open your team's Financials and go to Recurring.
- Add the cost or income with its amount and how often it repeats.
Recurring entries feed your forecast. They don't add a dated entry by themselves each time.
Change the chart style
Charts in Aden draw in a dotted, retro style. Right-click a chart and pick Classic for plain bars, or Dither to go back. Every chart that offers both follows your choice on this device.
