Release & sharePlaylists

Create a playlist

Start a playlist and add tracks from your library, Spotify, a tracklist or an audio file.

Start a playlist

  1. Go to Playlists in the sidebar and press New playlist.
  2. Give it a name. Cover, team, visibility, genres, tags, description and starting tracks are optional.
  3. Save.

Add a track from the track itself

You don't need to open the playlist first. On a track page, in its actions menu or its playlists section, or in a track's right click menu, choose Add to a playlist.

  • Existing playlist searches the playlists you can add to.
  • New playlist makes one in your active team with the track already in it.

Type a name that doesn't exist yet and it offers to create it.

Add tracks from the playlist

Press Add tracks at the top of the playlist. One box takes whatever you give it:

  • Type to search your tracks. If nothing matches, add what you typed as a track from outside Aden ("Artist - Title" fills both).
  • Paste a Spotify link (playlist, album or track), a 1001Tracklists set or an ISRC, and every track it finds is picked.
  • Paste a tracklist, one track per line. Lines that name one of your tracks pick it; the rest become outside tracks.
  • Drop an audio file to start a new track that lands in the playlist.

Your Spotify playlists under the box lists the playlists of your connected Spotify account. Your picks are kept while you search for the next one, and one button adds them all at the bottom of the playlist.

Adding tracks from outside Aden needs a Pro plan on the playlist's team.

Create track sits in the menu beside Add tracks, to make a brand new track straight into the playlist.
