Take a drum from a song

Pull a kick, snare, clap, hi-hat or crash out of a full song, or bring in your own sample to edit.

Drop a song and get its drum as a sound you can shape and export.

Take a drum from a song

  1. Open the kick, snare, clap, hi-hat or crash page.
  2. Drop a whole song, or a loop, on the page.
  3. The drum is found where it repeats, and cleaned of the rest of the mix. A kick starts remade as a synth kick, the others as the cleaned sample.
  4. Switch Version between remade, cleaned, and as it sounds in the song.
  5. Turn Clean to set how much of the rest of the song is taken out.

When a song has more than one candidate, each gets a number. Press one to hear it.

Drop several songs at once and their drums blend into one. Each song gets a row with its share in the mix.

Mark the drum yourself

Got the wrong drum? Press the crop button on the song.

  1. Scroll or pinch to zoom in.
  2. Drag over one hit, or type its start and length.
  3. Play it, then use it. Every other place the song plays it is mixed in to clean it.

Bring in your own sample

Drop a WAV, AIFF or FLAC on the page. Drop several and the first opens while the rest blend into it.

  • A kick or rumble is rebuilt as curves you can edit, and plays back as it was.
  • Any other drum plays your sample as its click layer, to cut, pitch and filter.
